Ingredients

Scale

Dips

  • 1 cup hummus (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup tzatziki sauce
  • 1 cup baba ganoush
  • 1 cup roasted red pepper dip

Vegetables and Toppings

  • 1 large cucumber, sliced into rounds
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 large bell pepper, sliced into strips
  • 1 cup assorted olives
  • 1 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1 cup mixed nuts

Breads

  • 1 cup assorted pita breads and flatbreads, cut into triangles or strips

Other

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (oregano, parsley, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Hummus: Blend 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas (drained and rinsed), 2 tablespoons tahini, 3 tablespoons lemon juice, 2 cloves garlic, and 1/2 teaspoon salt in a food processor until smooth. Add water as needed to achieve desired consistency.
  2. Prepare the Tzatziki: Mix 1 cup Greek yogurt, 1 medium cucumber (grated and well-drained), 1 clove minced garlic, 1 tablespoon olive oil, 1 tablespoon fresh dill, and salt to taste. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to meld.
  3. Prepare the Baba Ganoush: Roast 1 medium eggplant at 400°F for 30-35 minutes until soft. Let cool slightly, scoop out the flesh, and blend with 2 tablespoons tahini, 2 tablespoons olive oil, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, and salt to taste until creamy.
  4. Portion the Dips: Spoon all dips into separate bowls or ramekins.
  5. Arrange Dips on Board: Place the bowls of dips evenly on a large serving board or platter.
  6. Add Fresh Vegetables: Neatly arrange the sliced cucumber, halved cherry tomatoes, and sliced bell pepper around the dips on the board.
  7. Add Olives and Cheese: Scatter the assorted olives and crumbled feta cheese around the vegetables and dips.
  8. Add Mixed Nuts: Fill small sections of the board with mixed nuts to add crunch and texture.
  9. Arrange Breads: Place the pita and flatbread triangles or strips around the edges of the platter for easy dipping.
  10. Finish and Garnish: Drizzle the entire assembled platter with olive oil and garnish generously with fresh herbs such as oregano and parsley for added flavor and visual appeal.
  11. Serve: Serve immediately and encourage guests to mix and match the flavors for a satisfying Mediterranean brunch experience.

Notes

  • You can use store-bought dips for convenience or make all dips from scratch for fresher taste.
  • For the baba ganoush, ensure the eggplant is fully roasted to get a smoky flavor.
  • Drain and dry the cucumber well for tzatziki to keep the dip from becoming watery.
  • Feel free to add other Mediterranean ingredients such as artichoke hearts or sun-dried tomatoes to the board.
  • This platter is best assembled just before serving to maintain freshness and texture.
